Ngoenga school celebrated the 35th Nobel Peace Prize day

 

The school came together on 10th December to celebrate the 35th anniversary of conferment of Nobel Peace Prize on His Holiness the Dalai lama. The formal event began with ceremonial offerings of white scarf to the portrait of His Holiness, followed by long life prayers by the staff and children. The school headmaster in his remarks, underscored the days significance as well as the teachings of His Holiness. To mark the auspicious day traditional sweet rice and butter tea, was served fostering a sense of pride and joy. The highlight of the event was the performances staged by some students with traditional songs and dance, showcasing their skills. The event concluded with a thank-you note from the school secretary, expressing her gratitude to all participants for their contribution in making the event jubliant. The day also resonates His Holiness’s message of peace and compassion to all.
