A Grand Celebration of Children’s Day at Ngoenga School

Like all the schools in India, Ngoenga School also celebrated Children’s Day on 14th Nov, 2019.

Children’s day is celebrated every year on November 14 as a tribute to the India’s first Prime Minister, Sri. Jawaharlal Nehru. The occasion celebrates love, rights, education and welfare of the children.

All the Ngoenga students, staff members including school Director, Mr. Pemba Labrang gathered in the morning for the special program in the school Hall. The Chief Guest of the program was Mr. Suraj Singh, Assistant Professor (SARS) in specialized disability management and the special guest was DoE, CTA, special educator Ms. Tenzin Paldon. The program hall looked beautiful as it was nicely decorated by the efforts of all staffs with flowers, charts, balloons, paper color ribbons, and temporary drawings.  In addition to a replica of Ngoenga School made up of cartons with shaded colors prepared by Ngoenga teacher Gen Tenzin Eigney la.

The program began with Tibetan National Anthem followed by Indian National Anthem anchored by the School Office Secretary as a tribute to both the nations. Then the Director gave a wonderful speech related to the special occasion. After his speech, sweets & gifts were distributed to all Ngoenga children which were contributed by Ngoenga staff.

Later, the fun part of the event began with song and dance performances by the Ngoenga Staff. Most of the staff performed including the school Director who sang two Tibetan songs. Everyone was feeling loved and were enjoying the program with great laughter. The smiley faces of the Ngoenga children were the special highlight of the event. Tea and samosas were served to all who were present at the program.

Lastly, Mr. Suraj Singh who was very much impressed with the preparation of the program appreciated all the staff for their creative efforts.

The program ended with delicious a special non-vegetarian momo sponsored by Mrs. Lozom la. After the program, the school was closed for the day.
