On 3 December 2025, Ngoenga School for Tibetan Children with Special Needs celebrated the International Day of Persons with Disabilities alongside its Annual Sports Day. Chief Guest Dr. Tsewang Phuntsok, Dehradun Settlement Officer, along with Mr. Lhawang, Executive officer TPHC Dekyiling attended the event with other distinguished guests.
The programme commenced with a march-past by the students, followed by various sports activities such as wheelchair races, hurdle and obstacle races, marble races, and relays. The Director highlighted the school’s mission and the importance of inclusion, empowerment and the holistic development of children with special needs.
While Dr. Tsewang Phuntsok shared that visiting the school had long been a wish of his, expressing his honour at attending as the chief guest. He commended the dedicated staff and teachers for their tireless efforts in supporting, guiding, and nurturing the students.
The event concluded with the distribution of prizes by the Chief Guest and other invited guests to students who excelled in the various competitions.
The celebration brought joy, healthy competition, and a spirit of positivity to all the students, making the day both memorable and meaningful.
